There's been some progress on the hospital front in the last couple of days.
The consultant I saw yesterday morning said he was almost 100% certain that the tendon was broken and put the wheels into motion for surgery. He was very surprised that I hadn't been sent in to see them when I went to A&E on Tuesday.
I had blood tests and the pre-admission interview done yesterday.
This morning the hospital rang and I went in for X-rays and an ultra-sound (which was rather painful as the doctor kept pressing and rolling the gun on my poor knee. At least it was useful as it confirmed the diagnosis - he said that he hadn't seen such an obvious case of a snapped tendon in quite a while).
So now, I'll be waiting next to the phone every morning... hoping that they can fit me in.
It could even happen tomorrow (Saturday) depending on whether they'll be more important emergencies or not. So London: please no alcohol-fuelled fights, accidents, etc. tonight!
Fingers crossed!
