My ENT appointment

Yesterday I worked from home and before we went out for fish&chips and The Muppets, I went to the hospital for my ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist appointment to find out what causes my sudden vertigo/nausea/vomiting attacks.
There were running half an hour late but I didn't mind: after all, after waiting for almost 3 months to get an appointment that delay wasn't very significant.
Before I saw the 'specialist', a nurse tested my hearing with noises of different intensity/frequency played through headphones. Apparently, my hearing is fine.
The consultation with the specialist was rather disappointing, I must say. After scribbling a few notes, he had a very quick look inside my ears, asked me to follow his moving finger with my eyes and then made me stand with my eyes closed. My GP had done all that and more.
He then said that if I really wanted to, I could have some 'specialist' tests done but it was quite obvious from his tone that he didn't think they were necessary or he didn't want me to say yes. Which of course made me say yes straight-away!
The dialogue inside my head was on the lines of "And I've waited 3 months for THIS!" and "I thought YOU were THE specialist" and "You haven't said a single word on what could cause this and I'm back to square one"!
He then warned that the 'specialist' tests may induce dizziness which made me think that it's probably going to be the same tests run by my GP. But I didn't change my mind.
Anyway, now it's back to the waiting game. Maybe this time it won't be for another 3 months?
