Yes the snow has gone from the bushes and I'm wearing different clothes, but there's something else missing...
A 15 or so strong flock of these too-shy-to-be-photographed birds
descended on the pyracantha that covers the wall and stripped it of all its berries!
I think that they were redwings (a type of thrushes) and acted like a group of rowdy but cautious teenagers, with one of them always keeping watch (they dispelled at the first twitching of curtains).
And just like teenagers, they were wasteful:
But I'm sure that they'll come back for what is left on the ground: the party is not over yet.
The garden does feel even more naked and colourless now!
