On Sunday the weather was very unsettled: a thundestorm woke me up at about 6:30 am and a building in north London was set on fire by lightning.

But later in the morning the sky was wonderful. It was ideal for a walk along the Thames : oh, it felt so good to be alive to admire such magnificence!

I just LOVE that first shot of St Paul's with the big puffy clouds up above. I had hoped for skies like this for some of my photos while there, but no such luck...SIGH!

Well days like that are not that common (and normally happen when I'm stuck at work!)

I'm still waiting for your gorgeous coffee table photographic book to be published!

And I wanted to make a flippant remark about seeing the first photo ever of London with blue skies above... and then saw Evan's remark! *yikes* LOL

Actually, there was plenty of sun in London when I was there, and puffy clouds, but never when I was along the Thames for gorgeous shots like Franco took.

Interesting that there was a Dalí exhibit going on. Also I see that you have those "living sculptures" like on La Rambla here.

Chuck, always enjoy your photos!

Thank you Chuck!

Yes it's the Dali Universe a permanent exhibition... one of many Dali museums around the world!

Yes, there is a crummy museum in Barcelona. The one in Figueres is better.

Did you know that the Spanish poet/playwright (Federico García) Lorca had a crush on Dalí?

No, I didn't know that!

I seem to recall that there was a Dali museum somewhere in Florida too.
(I confess I haven't been to any!)
