West Norwood Cemetery (3/3)

This is a statue on one of the most striking and unusual tombs at West Norwood

with curious tile decorations

(perhaps I should turn this into a bear T-shirt?)

and, finally, a look at some, more alive, visitors

Looking closer I can see it is a bear, I thought it was a wolf at first glance.

As always, great pictures!

Perhaps you should investigate the history of the tomb before you go upsetting the spirit world with your T-shirts.

What are those berries? Would you eat fruit growing out of the soil at a graveyard, or is that just too yucky?

LOL! I've already tried but couldn't find anything. Maybe I should go on one of the monthly guided tours.

They are blackberries. And we saw a lady picking them!! I think I would probably eat them. And you?

Although I have rather non-conformist views about death and the afterlife, I somehow maintain strong superstitions about cemeteries and believe that they should not be disturbed. That would include picking and removing blackberries, I suppose.
