I must say that I'd have preferred typed letters as his handwriting was rather difficult to decipher!
Sorry to hear that you had such bad experiences with "lonely heart" ads.
Yes, I was always quite sickly at the time; I feel much healthier now with a few more (well > 15!!) kgs on!
