Last week-end
May. 5th, 2013 12:12 amLast week-end my friends Enrico and Emma came round for afternoon tea. They live in Italy and I hadn't seen them for about 6 years (last time was at our civil partnership ceremony).
Adrian was up in Leeds so I did all the baking (mini-eclairs with limoncello creme patissiere, meringue kisses, Earl Grey tea bread, fruit scones) and made the sandwiches too. This kept me busy on Friday night and Saturday morning.
It was great to see them and we spent a few hours eating, chatting and laughing.
They wanted to see Pablo's exhibition so we went to the Alexandra Nurseries on the way to the station. There I was informed that a picture had been sold!! Hooray!
In the evening I went back to the Alexandra Nurseries for a small party celebrating their first anniversary. What a lovely curry!
I spent the whole of Sunday at the Garden Museum selling cards and some flower photo collages.
It was rather exhausting I must say and very quiet after midday.
I didn't sell much either - only one of the collages and fewer than 50 cars. Oh well, better than nothing!

I was so tired that I felt quite depressed on the way home.
But then came Monday and my Adrian came home in the evening, and all was well again!
