Pests

a) TV.
We've been unable to watch TV for about a week now.
The picture freezes every second or so, the sound sometimes does too or at times continues. I am kind of used to this happening when a bus or large vehicle goes past, but now it's constant and it's driving me nuts! The other night I would have just smashed everything to smithereens if I had had a hammer at hand.
We don't have a roof aerial as it is not allowed by the rules on the conservation area (although many houses have one).
I have tried to change aerial, digital box, cables, move equipment but to no avail. I have no idea where the interference comes as it has worked for years.
I wonder if it could be the burglar alarm next door which must be on all the time now that the house (recently sold - well 'under offer') is empty?

I'm considering whether we should get cable (Sky or VIrgin) and at the same time replace BT Yahoo as broadband provider...

b) Letters from Italy
I've never been so popular. About 10 letters in the last week or so from different political parties asking for my vote in the next election.
3 letters from Berlusconi's party, the ridiculously-named People of Freedom: you can send me a hundred letters, you won't get my vote!

c) Fox
Since last Saturday we have a guest in our back garden. 
This fox spends hours on the gazebo's roof and only saunters away when we go out in the garden



then an hour or two later is back



I'm sorry but there's no room for you in such a small garden! 
Kindly return where you came from! 

And now to end such a grumpy post, some sweet flowers from the garden (heralding spring perhaps? we can only hope!)
