I have some very unfashionable Italian music on my iPod. One of the artists is Raffaella Carrà, dancer, singer and TV presenter whose career started in 1961.
She's very famous in Italy, Spain and South America where she worked for many years.
Raffa doesn't have a great voice but some of her now old-fashioned songs always make me smile.
Googling her name brought up some interesting results.
First an Australian blog - the author discovered Raffaella recently when on holiday in Spain and cannot get enough of her!
Then quite a number of Italian websites suggest that Lady Gaga got her distinctive look from 'La Carrà'!
And when you look at some of her costumes you can see that they might just be right!
I loved Raffaella when I was growing up. No wonder I'm gay! LOL!
