Social week-end
May. 12th, 2008 11:58 pmAdrian was in Leeds and I spent the week-end socialising and gardening.
On Saturday evening 2 neighbours (Peter and Sim) were having drinks in their garden. I must confess that at first I wasn't very keen on going on my own. Not because I don't like or know them, but simply as I can be quite the hermit when Adrian's away.
Anyway, I said I would go for half an hour but ended up staying for 4 hours. It was a brilliant evening with a few of our neighbours and friends, and I don't think we ever stopped laughing and drinking (I was a bit tipsy, but by far the most sober of them all).
On Sunday, I lifted the tulips and planted the dahlias. And of course, if you are out in the front garden, neighbours will stop for a chat, which is rather lovely really.
All the large 6 pots had a number of monkey nuts, courtesy of our friend the squirrel.
And this reminds me of something I've seen in the paper this morning:

Anyone for a squirrel pasty?
Now if you are coming round for tea, consider yourself warned! LOL!
