A bear in hospital
Mar. 29th, 2007 11:23 amToday I have the day off work: I was supposed to work from home but cannot connect to my work PC - they changed something at their end and are unable to provide assistance at the moment.
In a hour or so, I'm going to pick up Adrian at the hospital (in a taxi as we are car-less).
He had his hernia operation yesterday afternoon and had to stay overnight.
I went to see him in the evening and at first he was rather sleepy and groggy, but then he had his supper and by the time I left he was feeling much better.
We were joking that in his hospital clothes he looked like Anne from Little Britain!
And I just want to say thanks very much to all our friends who have been ringing and e-mailing... it was routing surgery but one cannot help worrying a little, and all the support and love made a tremendous difference to us both.
