It's really more a matter of principle than anything else as Civil Partneships give the same rights/duties.
But the fact that it is a different type of 'contract' makes one feel a class B citizen. Plus I want to say that I am married (well will be married) without using the inverted commas.

I would have never imagined a Conservative Prime Minister pushing this through parliament, although his party was divided.
